The Avamere Court at Keizer community truly gives back.  This past October they partnered with the Alzheimer’s Network for their annual Alzheimer’s Walk. This is a community event that raises awareness and funding for many local programs that the charity heads up. Avamere Court at Keizer is a proud sponsor of this organization.

Many employees and volunteers helped out at the event. They set up a tent, complete with a spin wheel that walkers could try their luck at to win prizes. Lots of participants got to spin the wheel! It proved to be quite popular. Even more noteworthy is that the team from Avamere Court at Keizer designed their own t-shirts for the event.

The Alzheimer’s Network is a non-profit organization founded in 2003 that provides compassionate support to individuals, their families, and caregivers impacted by Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias. They provide services and education programs that families need through their local community presence in the Keizer area.

The network also provides many outreach programs, including: Joyful Noise music classes, Free Legal Friday, memory screening, art classes, the iPod Music and Memory Program, and many more. Read more about their programs on the Alzheimer’s Network website.

Please join the Avamere Family of Companies during Alzheimer’s Disease Awareness Month as we bring recognition of this disease and the various programs and projects we are a part of to help those affected by this illness.
