Becoming a Home Health Physical Therapist — A Personal Journey

I first became interested in Physical Therapy around 25 years ago as a high school athlete.  Multiple sporting injuries introduced me to the sports medicine side of therapy. Like many male therapists, I thought my professional career would follow the orthopedic and sports medicine route. Signature Access Pediatric Nurses Go Back-To-School

Twenty of our pediatric school nurses at our Logan and Ogden, Utah agencies recently came together for a back to school pizza luncheon/meeting at the Logan Office. They laughed and shared their best practices as nurses who provide 1-on-1 care in school environments. Each nurse received a new Signature Access backpack stocked with goodies, notebooks, pens and items for their patients and some treats for energy. Key topics discussed were how to use communication tool with non-verbal patients, ways to integrate wheelchair-bound patients in classroom activities and how to improve communication with teachers and other school staff.
