At Avamere Family of Companies, we understand that medical and health information about our customers is personal and private. Avamere is committed to the protection of this information.

Most states have regulations to ensure the privacy of medical and health information. To help ensure the privacy of medical and health information, the federal government has recently enacted the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act - known simply as HIPAA. The Act includes a Privacy Rule specific to the protection of medical and health information. The HIPAA Privacy Rule went into affect on April 14, 2003. Part of the Rule provides consumers of healthcare services the right to know how the privacy of their medical and health information is protected and how it is shared.
